Wolfberry juice or perhaps better known as goji juice has become recently become extremely popular in the US thanks to extensive marketing which seem to claim that the wolfberry fruit has amazing mystical powers that can give us constant health and everlasting life. Despite some of the claims, drinking wolfberry juice is not going to make us live forever or develop super powers, but it does have some amazing antioxidants health benefits that are certainly worth looking at.
Does Wolfberry Juice Live Up To Its Claims?
With all the hype surrounding the wolfberry juice or goji juice, you have to wonder if it is really all that the promoters make it out to be. Wolfberries have been used for centuries in Chinese herbalism and thought by the Chinese to aide in the healing and prevention of many different types of diseases and ailments such as liver disease, diabetes and high blood pressure. Recently the wolfberry started catching on in parts of Europe and the US and started being marketed as an “antioxidant super-fruit”.
Amazingly enough, there is quite a bit of truth to that claim. Scientific studies have shown the wolfberry to contain extremely high amounts of antioxidant levels which are thought to reduce the risk for heart disease and even cancer. Not only is the wolfberry fruit high in antioxidants, but it has proven to be high in iron, riboflavin, calcium, zinc, potassium and vitamin C.
What Brand of goji or wolfberry Juice is the best for Antioxidants Health?
It’s difficult to decipher which brand of wolfberry or goji juice actually contains all of the benefits that the bottle claims. Everyone claims that their brand contains better ingredients than the other brands, but if you do a little investigating yourself, you’ll be able to figure out which brand of juice is actually good for you. Look for things like the USDA organic symbol on the bottle or low sugar content. It is very rare to find a juice containing only wolfberry juice, but try to find one that contains mostly wolfberry juice and few other additives.
Does Wolfberry Juice Cost A Lot?
As you can imagine, a fruit that carries this much nutritional value does not come at a cheap price. It depends on where you buy it, but on average a one liter bottle can cost you around $50. That’s a whopping price to pay for an antioxidants drink in the name of good health, but if you can afford it, the studies seem to show that wolfberry juice can do great things for your body along with a healthy diet and exercise.
Where Can I Buy Wolfberry Juice?
You can find this great antioxidants drink in practically any natural food or health food store. Some grocery stores also carry it. There are a multitude of online sites that sell wolfberry or Goji juice, but be cautious as some of the websites can be scams or feature a low quality juice which contains very little wolfberry juice and lots of other unhealthy additives. If buying online, do your research and find out which sites are reputable and which are not.
